Forge On into 2025! Looking Back at an Eventful Year and Ahead at an Exciting 2025
2024 has drawn to a close, and as we begin our journey into 2025, it’s time to take stock of the incredible journey we had last year – a year that saw Vulcan Forged embarking on new adventures. 2024 saw the relentless building and innovation that you’ve come to expect from the team. Let’s recap some of the highlights of a remarkable year, focusing on how we’ve laid a solid foundation in 2024 for us to forge on into 2025.
Building Momentum in 2024:
- New Features and Enhancements Across Games: From the introduction of Raid Bosses and Professions like Cooking and Alchemy in VulcanVerse to the launch of the Stamina and Satiety system and the introduction of a new avatar system, VulcanVerse has received significant upgrades designed to enrich your gaming experience. Early last year we revamped the achievement portal with the addition of quests to add another layer of engagement and reward for our dedicated community. In HeXenagos, a leaderboard, a skill based reward system, new maps and a new unit were added.
- Berserk Season 5: The last season brought a whirlwind of fresh features, a revamped player experience, and a league system that fosters healthy competition. With over $50,000 worth of prizes, Berserk has proven why it’s a fan favorite. This was followed by the Berserk invitational tournament culminating at VulCon4 in London.
- Elysium Christmas Extravaganza: Our 14-day festive celebration spanned multiple games and partner projects, offering a plethora of events and rewards for the community. From boss battles to meme contests, the Extravaganza spread holiday cheer throughout the ecosystem.
- The Frenzy Pass: A game-changer in the Vulcan Studios ecosystem, the Frenzy Pass allows players to earn LAVA across multiple games for a low monthly fee, boosting engagement and adding value to the ecosystem.
- VulCon4 in London: Our flagship event brought together the community, developers, and industry leaders for a day filled with exciting announcements, gameplay, and networking. The Forge On! Building competition showcased the incredible talent within our community with a $20,000 prize pool. The Awards Ceremony saw community members awarded for their commitment to Vulcan Forged and Elysium projects and a live Berserk final took place on stage.
Positioning for an Epic 2025:
- My Forge Revamp: The recent update to My Forge brings a fresh look, improved UI, and enhanced functionality. This is just the beginning, with further updates planned to provide the best possible experience for our users. Prepare for the launch of the Vulcan Player Card as we forge on into 2025!
- LAVA becomes ELY: Our native coin, LAVA, is undergoing a transformation, becoming ELY, a name that better represents its role as the fuel of the Elysium blockchain. This change will be reflected across all exchanges and Elysium tools, solidifying ELY’s identity and purpose.
- The Coming of VulcanX: The highly-anticipated VulcanX, our centralized exchange, is on the horizon, promising a gamified and rewarding trading experience. With revenue share and boosts for landholders, VulcanX is set to revolutionize how we trade and interact with the Vulcan Forged ecosystem.
- VulcanVerse Level 6, Avatar PvE and more: The journey in VulcanVerse continues, with Level 6 on the horizon. This new level promises even more exciting gameplay, features, and rewards for our dedicated players, and that’s not all.. avatar PvE is currently with our community testers. Also coming – guilds and enterprises, new professions and more.
- Berserk “Decks of Destiny” Tournament: Epic card battles are on, as the “Decks of Destiny” tournament that kicked off at the beginning of January continues! Gather your strongest decks, hone your strategies, and compete for glory and rewards. Outside of the tournament, work is ongoing to build an even better Berserk, including easy onboarding.
- A Diverse Gaming Landscape: Beyond VulcanVerse and Berserk, our gaming ecosystem is expanding with exciting titles like Vulcan Creed, Tower Defense, Vulcan Runner, Tartarus, and HeXenagos, each offering unique gameplay and opportunities for earning rewards.
- Regular AMAs with CEO Jamie Thomson: Get insights straight from the top! Jamie will be hosting regular Ask Me Anything sessions, providing a platform for the community to engage directly with him and get answers to their burning questions.
- Weekly News Updates: Stay informed and excited with Neswulf’s weekly Vulcan Forged & Elysium news shorts on X, covering the latest news and developments in the Vulcan Forged and Elysium ecosystems.
- Tartarus VR Immersion: Experience the depths of Tartarus like never before with the VR version, which many had the opportunity to test at VulCon4. Immerse yourself in this thrilling adventure and face the demonic hordes head-on.
- VulCon5 in Greece: Plans are already underway for VulCon5, and this time, we’re heading back to beautiful Athens in Greece, the headquarters of Vulcan Forged and Elysium Blockchain! Get ready for another unforgettable experience filled with community, innovation, and fun.
- Web 2.5: Throughout the second half of 2024, we turned our focus to “Web 2.5”, the crossroads where traditional gaming and the decentralized future of the internet meet.
- Elysium Partners: During 2024 some amazing projects joined Elysium blockchain. We’ll be seeing more of them, and new projects in 2025.
- Discord Gated Channels: Yes, you read that right. We will soon be able to gate channels by tokens you own – providing extra privileges to owners of certain tokens / NFTs. This extends to our partner projects over on Elysium. Alongside the Elysium Sticker Collection in the CloudWallet, we’re giving back to our dedicated community.
- Vulcan Studios COO: A massive, fiery Vulcan welcome goes to Cameron Dayton, our new Vulcan Studios Chief Operations Officer! Cameron joins us bringing a wealth of experience in gaming, with a goal of doing the necessary to bring our games to the Web2 masses.
