Land Staking to V-Drip – Information for Land Stakers

Share this Article:

As Land Staking winds down in April 2026, your plots are not being left behind.
Instead, the PYR you have locked in your land will start working inside V-Drip, the long-term rewards engine of the Vulcan Forged ecosystem.

Below is a clear walkthrough of what is changing, when it changes, and what it means for you as a landholder.

From Land Staking to V-Drip: What’s Happening?

Right now, land staking pays out PYR directly.

From May 2026, those land-based rewards shift into V-Drip – a system that distributes 100 V tokens per day to everyone taking part. Your share of those 100 V is based on your V-Drip weight.

Land will become one of the ways you can increase that weight, alongside:

  • How much PYR you stake directly into V-Drip
  • How long you lock that PYR for
  • The NFTs (relics) you use
  • NEW: The level and PYR inside your VulcanVerse land

You do not need to restake or move any PYR that is already inside your plots. The system will read your staked PYR automatically and convert it into V-Drip weight.

To make this transition smooth, we are using two phases:

Two Phases of Land → V-Drip

Phase When What land counts PYR counted Rewards
Phase 1 – Demeter Honour Rewards Date coming → April 2026 L4–L7 only L4: 25% of PYR, L5–L7: 50% of PYR Normal land staking PYR rewards + light V-Drip boost
Phase 2 – Full V-Drip From May 2026 L2–L7 100% of PYR V tokens only, with a land boost that slowly tapers over 24 months

Phase 1 – Demeter Honour Rewards (Now → April 2026)

During Phase 1, nothing about your current land staking PYR rewards changes – you still earn PYR as normal.

On top of that, your higher-level plots begin to contribute a small, extra weight into V-Drip.

Demeter Honour Rewards are our way of finally delivering on the original Demeter promise. When we first announced Demeter Rewards in an article back in November 2023, we told landholders that we would be sharing 10% of all transaction fees generated on the Elysium blockchain with the VulcanVerse landholders who had upgraded their plots to between Level 4 and Level 7. This was intended to be a bonus on top of normal land staking. That programme never went live, so we are putting it right by recognising those same committed landowners as we transition into the V-Drip era. Demeter Honour Rewards give qualifying Level 4–7 plots an additional edge in the new system, reflecting the extra value and support those holders brought to VulcanVerse.

Think of it as a “thank you” layer for people who upgraded their land and stuck with the program. We’ll soon be announcing the start date for this.

From April 2026: Land Moves Fully Into V-Drip

In April 2026, the current land staking program ends.

From May 2026 onward:

  • Land will no longer pay out PYR directly.
  • Instead, the PYR staked in your plots will form part of your V-Drip weight.
  • You will receive V tokens via V-Drip, alongside all other V-Drip participants.

The key idea is that your land continues to matter. The PYR locked in your plots still works for you – just now through V-Drip, rather than a separate staking pool.

Land as Built-In Relics

To keep things simple, we are tying land directly into the existing Relic system used on VulcanX.

Relic NFTs on VulcanX grant a percentage boost to your daily V earnings. The higher the Relic tier, the higher the boost – from the Ember Relic at +2% up to the Relic of Vulcan at +30%.

With land, you get something very similar:

PYR staked in your VulcanVerse land is treated as if it is being boosted by a Relic – you do not need to own the actual Relic NFT for this to apply.

Instead, each land level maps to a Relic tier and its corresponding % V-Drip boost.

It’s worth remembering that Relic NFTs are hard to come by – only VulcanX traders can earn them. Non-traders and those in areas where restrictions apply preventing them from using our centralized exchange, may see value in holding land during this period for the temporary boost it provides.

At the start of the land → V-Drip integration, the mapping looks like this:

  • Level 2 land → Ember Relic (+2%)
  • Level 3 land → Spark Relic (+4%)
  • Level 4 land → Flame Relic (+7%)
  • Level 5 land → Blaze Relic (+11%)
  • Level 6 land → Infernal Relic (+16%)
  • Level 7 land → Relic of Vulcan (+30%)

So if you have 1,650 PYR inside a Level 7 plot (the full amount needed to reach Level 7), that plot will initially count as if it is carrying a Relic of Vulcan – giving your land-based V-Drip weight a +30% boost on top of the PYR itself.

Unlike regular Relics, where only your single highest Relic counts, each land plot is treated independently. If you own three plots at Level 4, 5, and 7, each of those plots applies its own Relic-equivalent boost at the same time.

The only difference is that land-based Relic boosts are time-limited.

Relic NFTs are part of VulcanX and provide a V-Drip boost. From May 2026, land holding will provide a matching boost, but with a decay or step down every 4 months

Four-Month Step Down – Rewarding High Level Landholders

To reward higher level landholders without creating a permanent imbalance, land-based Relic boosts step down gradually over time.

Every four months, the mapping “slides up” by one land level:

  • After the first four months, Level 2 drops out of the bonus list. Level 3 now counts as Ember, Level 4 as Spark, and so on, with Level 7 stepping down to Infernal (+16%).
  • After eight months, Level 3 drops out; Level 4 moves to Ember, Level 5 to Spark, Level 6 to Flame, and Level 7 to Blaze.
  • After twelve months, Level 4 drops out; Level 5 becomes Ember, Level 6 becomes Spark, and Level 7 becomes Flame.

This pattern continues in four-month stages until eventually only Level 7 land still has a small Ember-level boost, and then the land-based Relic bonuses end entirely.

TL;DR:

  • Lower-level land gets a short early boost.
  • Higher-level land gets a longer runway, with Level 7 maintaining some level of bonus for up to 24 months from the start of the integration.

Your underlying PYR never stops counting – only the extra Relic-style % boost decays.

A Simple Example

Imagine you own a single Level 7 plot with the full 1,650 PYR staked inside it.

  • At the start of land → V-Drip integration, that plot is treated as if it has a Relic of Vulcan (+30%) attached.
  • After four months, it steps down to Infernal (+16%).
  • After eight months, it steps down again to Blaze (+11%).
  • After twelve months, it becomes Flame (+7%), then later Spark (+4%), then Ember (+2%), before finally returning to just the base PYR with no land boost.

Throughout, your 1,650 PYR continues to count in V-Drip – only the extra Relic-style multiplier shrinks over time.

Now scale that across multiple plots: each plot contributes to your V-Drip weight based on its own level, its own PYR, and whichever Relic tier it currently maps to in the timeline.

What This Means For You

  • If you already have land staked:
    • You continue earning PYR from land staking until April 2026.
    • From now until then, Demeter Honour Rewards recognise Level 4–7 land with extra V-Drip weight.
    • After April 2026, your staked land rolls seamlessly into V-Drip, with Relic-style boosts applied automatically.
  • If you are still upgrading:
    • Pushing your plots towards higher land levels now not only improves your position in the current land staking system, it also gives you longer and stronger Relic-equivalent boosts once land is fully tied into V-Drip.
  • If you are new or returning:
    • Land is no longer just about staking PYR for a fixed period. It becomes a way to build a long-term position in V-Drip, with clear, visible boosts tied to land level and time.

To Summarize:

  • Land staking in its current form ends in April 2026.
  • From May 2026, land becomes a key source of V-Drip weight, earning you a share of 100 V tokens per day.
  • Phase 1 (start date soon to be announced) gives higher-level land a light V-Drip boost on top of normal PYR rewards.
  • Phase 2 (from May 2026) turns all staked land PYR (L2–L7) into a full V-Drip boost, based on land -> Relic equivalent, which then gradually tapers over 24 months.

The goal is simple:
Reward landholders who helped build VulcanVerse, give them a powerful – but fair and time-limited – advantage in V-Drip, and keep the system clean and understandable for everyone who joins later, whilst the team works to build a VulcanVerse that gamers want to play for fun over financial reward.
