New Update: Alchemy Profession Arrives in VulcanVerse!
Following the recent cooking profession update, we’re excited to introduce the Alchemy Profession to VulcanVerse! With the introduction of alchemy, players now have the ability to craft powerful potions and elixirs that provide temporary boosts and enhance gameplay in various ways. Whether you’re foraging, spying, or fighting, alchemy is set to elevate your experience by offering valuable power-ups that will grow with new features and recipes over time.
Here’s a breakdown of everything you need to know about the new alchemy feature!
What is Alchemy?
Ancient tales tell of powerful alchemists and mages in VulcanVerse of old, a respected class with a headquarters in Vulcan City, these skilled men and women were called upon to influence events, heal the sick and protect the vulnerable through the creation of tinctures and potions.
Today, Alchemy comes to Vulcan’s digital Olympus! This crafting profession allows players to create consumable potions and elixirs using materials gathered from across VulcanVerse. These potions offer a variety of temporary buffs, boosting your performance in different activities. As more features and unique recipes are introduced, the range of potions and effects will continue to expand.
How Does Alchemy Work?
- Accessing Alchemy: To get started, head to Vulcan City, where the Alchemy crafting system can be accessed. You’ll find a new Alchemy Tab within your Ability Tab, where you’ll interact with the profession and craft your potions. Note that the Alchemy Tab and crafting process are only available within Vulcan City, so be sure to make your way there first!
- The Crafting UI: Once in Vulcan City, open the Alchemy Tab to access the crafting user interface (UI). Here’s what the UI allows you to do:
- View all potions you can craft, including detailed descriptions of their effects.
- See the resources required for each potion.
- View your current resource inventory to know what’s available for crafting.
- Use the filters on the right to fine-tune your search and find the exact potion you’re looking for.
- Brewing Potions: To brew potions, select the type of potion you want, set the desired quantity, and hit the “Craft” button. The potions will start brewing one by one. Here are a few key points to remember:
- Resources are only used after the potion is crafted, so if you cancel the crafting process midway, you won’t lose any resources.
- If you’re crafting multiple potions at once, feel free to close the crafting UI to explore other tabs and actions—your queue will continue running in the background.
- Inventory and Consumption: Once the potions are crafted, they will automatically be placed in your inventory. From there, you can consume them to gain their powerful effects. The effects of each potion will be displayed in the Buff Field at the top-right corner of your screen, as well as in the Active Buffs Tab.
Potion Effects and Stacking:
Each potion has its own unique effect, but note that the effect from the same type of potion cannot stack with itself. Instead, consuming a second potion of the same type will only refresh the duration of the effect. To maximize the benefits, simply drink a new potion when the previous one is about to expire to refresh the effect.
TLDR Quick Guide to the Alchemy Profession:
- Head to Vulcan City.
- Open your Ability Tab and select the Alchemy Tab.
- Browse the potions and select the one you want to craft.
- Set the amount of potions you want to brew and press Craft.
- The potions will be crafted and added to your inventory.
- Consume potions from your inventory to activate their effects, which will appear in the Buff Field and Active Buffs Tab.
