Agora 2.0 Arrival: This Month!

Exciting news! Agora 2.0 is going live this January, and we can’t wait to share it with you. This revolutionary marketplace will introduce a host of new features and improvements designed to enhance your minting (and eventually trading) experience. But before we dive into the launch, let’s walk through the phases leading up to the big day.
Phasing Out Vulcan Marketplace: What You Need to Know
In preparation for the Agora 2.0 launch, we’ll be sunsetting the Vulcan Marketplace. This process involves discontinuing certain functions gradually. We’re working closely with all teams to ensure a smooth transition, taking into account valuable feedback from our community.
Delisting Bids and Transitioning to Agora
During the initial Agora 2.0 launch phase, both Vulcan Marketplace and Agora will run concurrently. Vulcan Marketplace’s functionality however will be limited, with a focus on clearing existing bids. New bids will only be available on Agora. As existing auctions conclude, we’ll gradually phase out Vulcan Marketplace. Rest assured, we’ll keep you informed every step of the way. We expect the complete sunset of Vulcan Marketplace to take about 6-8 weeks from now (give or take).
PYR Swaps: Simplifying the Process
We understand that change can be daunting, especially when it comes to your assets. To streamline the process, we’ll be discontinuing Market-PYR in the future. This means PYR swaps will not be required going forward, simplifying the user experience.
Snapshot Updates and Staking: No Worries!
Removing Market-PYR will have no impact on snapshots for Nodes/Forges and staking. The snapshot calculation includes OnChain-PYR and Staked-PYR only (edit: it should read ‘Market-PYR’ | update for clarification 19/01). Our team has carefully planned for this transition, ensuring a smooth transition for all users.
Agora Tasks Completed: What’s Next?
We’ve been hard at work perfecting Agora 2.0 to deliver a seamless user experience. Here are some of the Agora tasks we’ve tackled:
- Improving UX/UI for a more user-friendly interface.
- Increasing flexibility with multiple edition NFTs minting.
