What Does This Mean For The Many Mortals In The ‘Verse’? We Explain.
We’re about to step things up another gear in VulcanVerse! 28 June 2022 is the day level 3 becomes reality. Players have made the most of their level 2 land, assets and Vulcanites and are ready to make the step up to level 3. Upgrading the land level can be done by first sowing and then staking $PYR in the land. This and the benefits of upgrading will be explained throughout this article.
Building Assets & Terramorphing
Each level upgrade grants the player new building assets. Where, at level 1, a player starts with wooden items and progresses in level 2 to a mixture of wood and stone assets, level 3 is a step up again, with smarter, more durable looking materials available. Why not impress your neighbors?
Height and depth are also increased further. Those with adjoining plots in Boreas can finally begin to make realistic mountainous terrain and players with land in the Desert of Notus will be able to truly build those sand fortresses! We have seen players build labyrinthine tunnels and cavern systems- soon builders will have the ability to make these even deeper and more intricate..
Whether you like to build realistic looking ancient Greek ruins or towering abstract designs, level 3 will allow you to expand your designs both up, down and improve the look with a greater selection of building assets.
Clothing
Let’s not forget that most important of details — avatar clothing! As you progress through the levels, you will receive additions to your wardrobe. Where the clothing is simple at level 1, the higher your level the smarter the outfits available. Don’t worry, you still get access to the lower level outfits if you don’t want to let go of your farmers smock yet..
Vulcanites
You’ve been waiting patiently to use them in VulcanVerse and at level 3, your level 3 Vulcanites can be used! Say hello to the Lost Shade, Velosina, Satyr Youngling, Chthonius and Medusa. You’ll notice the difference in foraging ability and of course, battle, as you take to the ‘Verse with your more powerful companion.

Cedalions
Are you a land owning Cedalion Manager? You’ll be pleased to know that you can, at level 3, have up to 3x Cedalions per plot. Good news for you and for Cedalions as we incorporate further MMORPG elements into VulcanVerse and the player base expands.
Staking
VulcanVerse landowners are able to stake $PYR tokens in their land plots to receive $PYR directly from the 10 million $PYR reward pool. We cover land staking in detail here, but to summarize, $PYR will be paid to land staking participants over four years, the reward method is linear. The pool pays out 10 million $PYR in 1460 payment terms. (roughly 1460 days) and the land level determines the rewards for the user. For a player to optimize the rewards, it is important that they upgrade the land level as quickly as possible.
Land must be sowed to prepare it for upgrade and staking. Previously, sowing was in $PYR only, with staking in both $LAVA and $PYR. From now on, $LAVA will also be required for sowing land, 10% of the sowing fee will be paid in $LAVA.
The Levelling Up Process:
Upgrading is not a difficult process, but you must ensure you have adequate XP, $PYR and $LAVA available in order for the upgrade to work. To begin, upgrade your avatar level in My Forge. If you are already at level 2, your status is Senior Wormling. An upgrade to level 3 will see your status change- to Puny Mortal! This is done through the Profile page of your My Forge account.
It will cost you 30,000 XP and 100 $LAVA to upgrade your avatar level to level 3.
Sow Your Land
Before land can be upgraded, it must be sown. If you are looking to upgrade land to level 3, your land must already be at level 2. Sowing takes 20 days — with two exceptions. If you have either the Hermes or Demeter Gods who offer the increased NFT sowing speed buffs, sowing will take 18 days. We are aiming for Hermes, Demeter and Themis to be ready when the sowing starts. Read about God buffs here.
Note- your avatar level must be at least at level 3 in order for you to sow your land to level 3.
To sow:
- Enter your My Forge account (the name for your Vulcan Forged account dashboard).
- Be sure to have 90 $PYR and an adequate amount of $LAVA equal to 10 $PYR available, per plot you plan to upgrade. Note- previously, this was 100 $PYR, but now the split will be 90% $PYR, 10% $LAVA, based on the PYR:LAVA conversion rate (the $LAVA equivalent of 10 $PYR as based on the weekly average rate).
- Visit the ‘Staking Land’ tab under My Forge. Here you will see the list of your land and the sowing status. Click ‘Sow’.
- Follow the on screen instructions; you will sign into Venly (please ensure you have allowed pop-ups in your browser).
- After 20 days, your land will have been sown and is ready for upgrade to level 3! You can keep an eye on the current status in the ‘Staking Land’ tab of My Forge.
